Korean Poet Praised by U.S. Magazine (2017/01/01)
A collection of poems by Oh Sae-young was named as one of this year’s 12 best poetry books in the U.S.
“From start to finish, ‘Night-Sky Checkerboard’ is questioning, somber, and beautiful”, the Chicago Review of Books wrote.
“I hope this offers more opportunities for Korean poems to be translated and introduced overseas”, Oh said.
The book came out here in 2011 and was translated by Brother Anthony of Taizé, emeritus professor at Sogang University in Seoul.
